The Art of Beginning Again

The Third Leap
Last week, I did something that still feels surreal.
I officially left my corporate career.
No return ticket.
No “safe next step.”
Just trust and a blank page.
It’s the third time I’ve started over.
From Art Director to Consultant.
From Consultant to Coach.
Each time, I’ve built a new identity, but more importantly, I’ve learned how to bring every version of myself forward.
The Emotion: The Space Between Fear and Freedom
When I handed in my resignation, I expected instant relief.
Instead, I felt everything at once; excitement, fear, gratitude, grief.
Because every ending holds a quiet mourning for the version of us we’re leaving behind.
But this time, I didn’t rush to fix it.
I let the space be uncomfortable and honest.
Because depth isn’t found in doing more.
It’s found in allowing yourself to feel while you grow.
The Reframe: Repurposing Your Power
Starting again doesn’t mean starting from zero.
It means starting from wisdom.
Every chapter leaves behind skills we can carry forward:
✨ From design - the eye for human emotion and story.
✨ From consulting - the structure, clarity, and systems thinking.
✨ From coaching - the presence to hold transformation, not force it.
Reinvention isn’t about becoming someone new.
It’s about remembering you’ve been preparing for this all along.
The power of reframing is realizing that nothing was wasted.
Every path built the muscle you need for this next one.
The Identity Payoff: Redefining Growth
Growth used to mean climbing higher.
Now, it means digging deeper.
It means measuring success not in promotions, but in peace.
Not in titles, but in truth.
Leaving the corporate world wasn’t rejection - it was reclamation.
I’m not abandoning structure; I’m building my own.
I’m not running from ambition; I’m redefining it through alignment.
Because this - Thrive in Empowerment - isn’t just my brand.
It’s my becoming.
A Practice for You
If you’re standing at your own crossroads, try this:
Write down every skill you’ve gained in the last decade.
Then, next to each one, ask:
“How could this serve who I’m becoming next?”
You’ll realize that your experience isn’t scattered - it’s stacked.
You’re not starting over.
You’re starting from strength.
Reflection
💭 Journal Prompt:
Where in my life am I labeling something an ending that’s actually an evolution?
🎧 Note:
You might have noticed there’s no new Own Your Brilliance episode this week.
That’s intentional - the podcast is entering a gentle pause while I pour my full energy into a secret project that’s been quietly taking shape.
It’s something deeply aligned with everything we’ve explored together - confidence, self-worth, feminine power and it will unfold in early December.
I can’t share the details yet, but what’s coming next feels like the natural evolution of this entire journey. ✨
Until then, thank you for being here, for reading, and for walking beside me through every chapter of growth.
Closing Thoughts
This isn’t a goodbye to what I’ve built, it’s a continuation of everything I’ve learned.
A new expression of the same purpose that’s been guiding me all along:
helping others return to themselves.
